Aristocrat’s New Media Games division develops market leading social casino games for a variety of mobile and web platforms with a team of extremely high caliber professionals from a wide range of backgrounds. As a Technical Artist you will sit in our Austin studio as part of our growing New Media Games division based in Las Vegas. This is a hands on position where you will develop and implement high quality, class leading content for social and mobile casino gaming.   Get in on the ground floor working with a small team chasing exciting new markets of mobile and web platforms, while capitalizing on the huge potential for growth, experience, and leadership. Find creative solutions to unique problems (adopting feature sets for mobile platforms). Creative excellence – Evaluate and contribute to the ongoing development of the production pipeline and our growing library of games. Illustrate and animate 2D assets as needed for Game or UI elements. Excel within a team based environment with challenging deadlines. Identify, assess & mitigate technical risk, as well as, quickly and accurately identify and resolve unexpected issues that can occur during the development process. Maintain excellent file organization and follow established processes for asset creation & management, and output configuration.   Qualifications: 2 years+ in professional art role. 2D animation Experience in a production environment working directly with development teams. Contribution to the development and success of several commercially released products in a technical capacity within an aligned industry i.e. console game, online, mobile etc. Bachelor’s Degree in Art or related field preferred. Portfolio and/or Demo Reel required.   Key Competencies: Adaptability and a passion for problem solving Strong organization skills. Be creative and innovative at all times, excited and willing to pitch ideas and projects for fast evolving platforms. Articulate and communicate complex technical art & animation issues. Have experience with – Adobe CC Suite with an emphasis on Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects, Source control software (Perforce, Alienbrain, SVN, etc.), proprietary tools or software, experience with Scrum, Waterfall or Agile methodologies a plus.
