The Job: Pacific Power Group is looking for a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate team in Vancouver, WA! In this role, you will ensure the integrity of accounting information by recoding, reviewing, consolidating and analyzing accounting and business information. Interested? Read on for more details! Responsibilities: -Monthly expense variance analysis. -Daily balancing between Subsidiary Ledgers to General Ledger control accounts. -Ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP and compliance to internal policies. -Resolve accounting discrepancies and irregularities. -Assists with financial, bank, and internal audits. -Assist with internal control process and documentation of procedures. -Apply financial policy and procedures of the company. -Monthly Balance Sheet Account reconciliations. -Ad-hoc projects as needed. -Interface with management in various departments. Qualifications: -Minimum 5-7 years’ general ledger accounting experience. -Demonstrates initiative in understanding process flows and controls. -Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to interact effectively with all levels throughout and outside of the company. -Excellent attention to detail and follow through with communication and a sense of urgency for deadlines. -Leadership experience. -Bachelor’s Degree. -Expert in business tools use, i.e. excel, access/Hyperion, ERP systems. -Experienced analytical and problem solver, strives for accuracy. -Strong organization skills. -Experience in a business partner role.
