The Supervisor position is an hourly position that includes manning a security post while also providing operational support for the account to include scheduling, compliance, post order development, performance metrics tracking, training, employee recognition and inspections during working hours. The Supervisor role is 100% tactical and operational. A Supervisor is expected to build upon a culture of employee engagement and set the example for all employees in the assigned account of servant leadership and personal commitment to the Whelan Values.Performance Metrics: The Supervisor is expected to achieve the following metrics within Whelan’s performance-based business environment: Manage to 2.5% unbilled overtime or less on assigned account Retention of the account Period over period improvement (usually quarterly) of performance metrics specific to the account Personnel inspections and training of assigned personnel each month 100% compliance to the Whelan Mandatory Requirements Lead by example of living up to the Whelan Values Qualifications All applicants should meet the following requirements: A minimum of six (6) months service with Whelan as an officer at time of acceptance into the program No adverse personnel actions within the previous six (6) months. A minimum of three (3) excellent ratings on the last five (5) monthly officer evaluations/inspections with no failures An excellent rating will be considered as the following: An average score of four and one half (4.5) of the possible five (5) or higher No individual item receiving a score lower than three (3) A failure will be considered as the following: Any single item receiving a score of one (1) Two (2) or more individual items receiving a score lower than three (3) An average score below three (3) Successful completion of the “Basic Security Officer Learning Series” in the Whelan Security eLearning Academy Completion of the “Intermediate Security Officer Learning Series” is required prior to acceptance Meet or exceed all basic security officer requirements A successful applicant will possess the following characteristics: High Integrity (Character Beyond Reproach) Servant Leader (Never Asking Anyone to Do What You Aren’t Willing to Do) Hands-On Leader Financially Prudent Detail-Oriented Thick-Skinned Caring Fun Go beyond the basics!   While not required, the following can be considered during the selection process: Security experience outside of Whelan Security Managerial or supervisory experience Military / Law Enforcement experience Undergraduate / Graduate degree Completion of “Continuing Education Learning Paths”  (Advances Security Officer Learning Series)   Education Why Whelan?
