Report this job About the Job Koontz WagnerQA/QC Manager Summary: Responsible for ensuring quality of the manufacturing processes from commencement of job to ship date. Responsible for product quality of all units/products prior to shipment and project completion. Oversees the ISO (International Organization for Standardization) process. Essential Functions:Ensures that the Company is compliant from an ISO perspective.Directs process and product testing to ensure quality standards are met during production.Provides leadership and guidance to electrical and mechanical quality inspectors, while ensuring programs are carried out properly throughout the product development and production process.Interacts with representatives from a variety of functional groups, including design, testing, engineering, purchasing, and all production and inspection personnel in the assigned product or program area.Familiar with a variety of the field’s concepts, practices, and procedures.Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Prepares for and represents the company during all quality related audits, inspections, witnessing or verification to establish the quality of a material, structure or system during manufacturing.Thorough knowledge of mechanical engineering, electrical, and general knowledge to deal with a wide range of products, processes and procedures. Including mechanical, fabrication, assembly, paint and electrical integration of cosigned equipment.Verbal and written skills for preparing reports and recommendations for use at all operational levels.Assures company complies with all relevant specified customer standards and state and local regulations as well as mechanical and electrical regulations.Verify materials, parts and final products through independent checks, audits, inspections and witnessingFactory acceptance tests of installations and equipment.Pre-shipment inspections and loading supervision during the transportation phase to assure customer expectations are being met.Monitoring storage methods and preventive maintenance systems of plant equipment before and during installation Organization and implementation of record retention systems.Formal equipment audits at the premises of our constructor, manufacturer or sub-supplier before and during manufacture.The ability to demonstrate highly confidential sensitive issues such as communications, e-mails, facility constraints, customer issues are reserved in the best interest of all individuals involved.Supervisory Responsibility: Yes Technical Skills:Knowledge of machines and tools, including their uses, repair, and maintenance.Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the electrical construction or repair of houses and control panels.Ability to interpret blue prints and wiring schematicsExtensive knowledge of high voltage equipment.Have knowledge of compliance and quality definitions by ISO, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, BMP, etc.Behavioral Skills:Ability to effectively interact and communicate with individuals at all organizational levels.Ability to conduct self in a respectful and appropriate manner.Ability to safely perform tasks and produce a quality product in an efficient and productive manner to meet schedule.Ability to reason and apply principles of logic to a wide range of factors when monitoring and working on jobs.Being reliable, responsible and dependableBeing careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks.Willing to take on responsibilities and challenges.Able to direct and lead othersCapable of guiding oneself with little or no supervision.A wide degree of ingenuity and integrity is expected while demonstrating quality ethical standards.Physical Requirements:Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring awkward stances and positions for periods of time throughout an 8 to 10 hour day.Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.Ability to converse over the phone.Wear PPE at all times and observe health, safety and environmental policies.Ability to stand and walk for majority of 8 to 10 hour day, bend, climb ladders 6 to 15 feet above ground level, lift product, equipment and tools up to 50 pounds throughout the day; push or pull product up to 200 pounds on an infrequent basis; use hand tools up to 20 pounds over extended periods of time.Education, Training & Certification: Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, business, or science related field required.
