Job Description The ideal candidate should be team oriented with a high attention to detail. Comfortable working independently s based on documented work plans and guidance from the lead practitioner. – Experience adhering to budget, scope, and schedule constraints. – Demonstrated technical writing skills (reports), strong verbal communication skills and preferably comfortable with giving presentations to internal and external clients and audiences. – Ability to analyze technical information and synthesize results into a report Experience analyzing compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and other applicable laws, implementing regulations, and Executive Orders, as well as experience preparing necessary documents to demonstrate compliance, is required. Experience analyzing Categorical Exclusions, and writing Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements is preferred. Experience interpreting the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief Act, the National Flood Insurance Act, Title 44 of the Code of Federal Regulations, Directive 108-1, and applicable U.S. Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) policies and guidance, is preferred.   Minimum Qualifications 4- 7 minimum years of experience since B.S. Certification and/or Master’s degree in specialty field desired for scientist positions (where one exists). Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer is desired for engineering positions. Registration as a licensed Professional Geologist within the resident state (if available, or by a recognized professional society if not) is desired for geologist positions. Work requires a broad knowledge of precedents in specify area and a good knowledge of principles/practices in related specialties.
