Identify and implement improvements.- Determine competency levels at work centers and identify training needs.- Identify sources of operator error in operations and implement changes to minimize these errors.- Identify gaps in process measurements that affect quality and implement solutions.- Implement KanBan systems for tools and machine supplies used by operators.- Work with maintenance and operations to implement TPM program.- Identify raw material usage problems that lead to inventory adjustments.- Plays a leading role in the transformation of the culture and philosophy into one focused on lean manufacturing.- Provides leadership in measurement and generation of data to identify process improvement opportunities.- Communicates and builds consensus so that Kaizen events have full buy in from department managers.- Ensures improvement initiatives do not slip back.- Identifies and implements visual performance metrics for departments.- Engage the workforce and identify pathways to improve: operator job satisfaction / morale, fatigue reduction, problem solving skills.What You Need for this Position- A higher degree in Quality Management, Systems/Process Engineering, Management or related field would be advantageous- A recognized certification in process improvement methods e.g. Lean Six Sigma (Ideally at black belt level)- Advanced coaching skills and the ability to transfer change management knowledge and skills effectively – Excellent project management skills and the ability to move a team forward and maintain momentum. – Ability to deal with conflict positively – Ability to perform under minimum direction, with high personal energy, and a positive approach to dealing with challenges and ambiguitySo, if you are a Quality Engineer with experience, please apply today!
